I have a Bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education and Master’s degree in Counseling, both of which I earned through Spring Arbor University. I have been working in the field of counseling since 2010, specifically in the area of substance addiction and co-occurring disorders. While I specialize in addiction treatment, I also have a broad understanding of mental illness and have worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma disorders, mood disorders, codependency, and other life challenges.
My career path has allowed me to work with diverse socioeconomic and multicultural populations, and I have grown to love working with people from all walks of life. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults with challenging cases, who have had unsuccessful past attempts at change.
Mental illness and addiction have an impact on the family as much as they do the individual. This is why I believe so strongly that involving family in therapy is essential to personal growth. I welcome the opportunity to provide family counseling, to improve support for the individual and heal the system as a whole.
I also believe every person has a unique story that should be heard. This is why I make a point to show up authentically to every session. I have a genuine interest in people and understanding them on a personal level, and am committed to partner with each individual on their personal journey.
