My goal as a therapist is to make every client feel safe, accepted, and confident that they can navigate their hardships in a healthy way. My approach is non-judgmental, open, and affirming. I strive to meet my clients where they’re at on their journey toward mental wellness no matter the severity of what they may be going through.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in journalism from Oakland University in 2012 and my Masters Degree in social work from Michigan State University in 2023. I have extensive professional experience working in behavioral health in inpatient facilities, namely with clients suffering from substance abuse, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. I also have experience working with clients suffering from homelessness and diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Additionally, I have completed many trainings that have allowed me to become well-versed in motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
I use a variety of modalities and interventions during session, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based Approach, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am happy to provide you with a listening ear and empower you to find the long-term, sustainable solutions you are seeking.
