Treatment Focus:

My goal as a therapist is to provide children ages 3 and older a safe place to acknowledge their feelings and hardships in a non-judgmental, positive, healthy environment. I graduated from Michigan State University with a school social worker certificate and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I also hold two advanced degrees in education focusing on special education and administration.

I have dedicated 25 years to working in education, serving in various capacities such as general education teacher, special education teacher, principal and most recently as school social worker. With a deep commitment to helping children and fostering growth, I have cultivated a wealth of experience in the field, impacting the lives of many young individuals.

In addition to my extensive background in education, I have developed a strong passion for working with children on a deeper, therapeutic level. With a focus on providing therapy, I am committed to building meaningful and trusting relationships with clients. My approach centers around creating a safe, supportive environment where children can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work through challenges and celebrate the successes.

Driven by a genuine desire to support children’s emotional and mental well-being, I will continue to pursue opportunities in play therapy and trauma that allow me to connect with young people and make a positive difference in their lives. Whether it’s through therapy or mentoring, I am dedicated to helping others shine through in every interaction.
