Karen Ford is a Fully Licensed Professional Clinical Therapist who has a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Wayne State, Michigan. Karen has experience providing mental health therapy services to a variety of individuals, particularly adolescents and children. Karen has training in trauma-informed care and utilizes a compassionate, spiritual and holistic approach to counseling in an effort to foster hope, healing and resilience.

Her focus has been working with those who have experienced trauma, loss and grief, and family separation. Karen has also worked within child welfare, medical behavioral health, the educational system and other systems that support children and families.

Karen strives to provide emotional support and guidance while using strength-based approaches and integrating various treatment therapies to best meet goals of her clients. She specifically focuses on adjustment issues and significant life changes in order to address all needs due to trauma.  She aims to empower her clients to create space, balance, time, and strength in their emotional journey as they identify their own individual needs, goals, and self-love.
