Hello all! My name is Elise, and I currently hold a limited license Master of Social Work and am working on obtaining my full licensure. I received my Bachelor of Social Work from Calvin University and my master’s degree from Michigan State University. I have experience working in the school district, community mental health, and grief counseling. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with OCD, trichotillomania, self-harm, grief and loss, divorce/separation, depression, anger management, ADHD, social skills, and trauma.
I follow different therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, motivational interviewing techniques, exposure response prevention techniques, psychoeducation, parenting-skills education, and strengths-based approach.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for children, young adults and families. We will work towards you, your child or your families’ goals together.
